Under the Olive Tree | A Concert of Jewish and Arabic Music

Let Jewish and Arabic musicians take you on a melismatic journey of sound from ancient traditional music through to contemporary Jazz. With Adam Starr, Adi Sappir, Yuval Ashkar, Raed Mekha, George El-Azar, Abdellatif Alaaisi and more.

Embark on a journey of sound, from traditional to contemporary pieces, in an afternoon of Arabic and Jewish music presented in conjunction with The Boite.

Masters of oud and percussion Raed Mekha, Yuval Ashkar and George El-Azar who have graced our stage in 2016 will be playing alongside new and exciting musical talents.

The oud (Arabic lute) and the ney (Arabic flute) will underpin the afternoon, with Adi Sappir-Cohen's cello and Adam Starr's contemporary guitar offering a broader palette of sound.
