Darebin City Council would like to invite you to:

Faith, Sexuality & Gender Diversity

From a base of human dignity and respect, the panel will explore the themes below:

• How can religious individuals and communities retain faith and embrace sexual and gender diversity?
• Can faith communities play a role in promoting the inclusion and stamping out discrimination against LGBTI people?
• Can the principles of inter-culturalism extend to LGBTIQ communities?

The Panel will feature Moderator Avraham Schwarz and Speakers:

• Luke Gahan (Researcher, La Trobe University  and Editor of the book Heaven Bent: Australian lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex experiences of faith, religion and spirituality)
• Sally Goldner (Executive Director Transgender Victoria, and a member of the Jewish Community Council of Victoria GLBT reference group.)
• Rev. Peter Batten (Uniting Church Northcote)
• Pastor. Becky Bauer (Acts2Faith Church, Northcote).
