Speaker: Dr Nick Dyrenfurth

About the speaker: Dr Nick Dyrenfurth is Executive Director of the John Curtin Research Centre. He has worked as an academic and written or edited seven books, including A Little History of the Australian Labor Party (with Frank Bongiorno), Mateship: A Very Australian History and Boycotting Israel is Wrong: the Progressive Path to Peace between Israel and the Palestinians (with Philip Mendes). Nick has worked as a Labor Party advisor and speechwriter as well as having acted as a commentator for newspapers and on television and radio. Nick is an Adjunct Research Fellow in Historical Studies at Monash University, where he attained a PhD in Australian history.
