Norouz means ‘new day’ in Persian and is a traditional festival of spring that has been celebrated for more than 3000 years by people from Iran and surrounding countries.
Bahai (Naw-Ruz): Naw-Ruz is the Baha’i New Year which coincides with the Spring equinox. For Baha'is it marks the end of the annual 19th Day Fast.
Zoroastrian (Nowruz): Nowruz is the Zoroastrian New year. Originally a Zoroastrian festival, and the holiest of them all, Nowruz is believed to have been invented by Zoroaster himself, although there is no clear date of origin.
