The Interfaith Network of the City of Greater Dandenong invites you to:

Volunteer Tour Guide Information Session

Date: Wednesday 7 May 2025      Time: 10am to 11:!5am
Location: IFN Office Level 1, 36 Clow Street, Dandenong 

The Interfaith Network (IFN) of the City of Greater Dandenong was established in 1989 and is the first and longest service Interfaith Network in Australia. One of the key initiatives offered by the IFN is our Places of Worship Tours. Our Tours are offered to primary and secondary schools, the general public and to organizations wishing to offer a unique learning experience in the spaces of inter faith dialogue, diversity and inclusivity to staff and volunteers.  Over the 2023-2024 period, over 2,000 individuals participated in a Places of Worship Tour.
 
Central to the service and work of the IFN are our dedicated and passionate volunteers, including our Volunteer Tour Guides. Twice yearly, the IFN is hosts an information session on volunteering and volunteering as a tour guide. Our next Volunteer Tour Guide Information Session is being held on Wednesday, May 7th, 2025

Tours to Places of Worship are structured in such a way as to encourage and promote inclusion, understanding and respect of diverse faiths and cultures. Through participation in the Tours, the awareness raised, and the educational outcomes experienced will positively work towards developing a socially cohesive community and one that recognizes and values the diversity of living, working, or visiting in the City of Greater Dandenong.

Following the Information Session, you will be invited to attend a Places of Worship Tour to deepen your insights and understanding of being a Volunteer Tour Guide.
