In Pursuit of Happiness Seminar Series: What Makes a Happy Society?

Date: Saturday 16 November 2019     Time: 3pm to 5pm
Location: Janssen Spirituality Centre, 22 Woodvale Road, Boronia VIC 3155

While our backgrounds may be very different, there are common goals for all human beings. We want a life that is happy. We want to live in a society which is peaceful and harmonious.
The aim of these seminars is to explore what our different traditions and what science tells us as a basis for thinking through how to live a happy and fulfilling life. We will seek to find what is common and understand our differences.

Australians see the absence of war, cooperation, social justice, security and sustainability as key features of a happy society. But how is such happiness in society achieved?

Panel members include:

  • Damian Gauci (Chan Buddhist tradition)
  • Rev Lucas Taylor (Ringwood Uniting Church)
  • Mary Dewberry (psychologist)
  • Swami Sunishthananda (Vedanta Hindu Centre)

Following brief presentations from the panel members and discussion with them, there will be group discussion.

Cost: Free | To register, click here
