A Tour to Places of Worship 2019

Date: Wednesday 9 October 2019       Time: 9am to 3:30pm 
Tour departs from: Interfaith Network Office, 39 Clow Street, Dandenong (Free parking available off Stuart Street, behind IFN Office)

• Islamic Society of Melbourne Eastern Region | 1273 Wellington Road, Lysterfield | Host: Imam Fadil Fachni & Ms Shameela Essop
• Morning Tea
• Melbourne Mahaprabhu Mandir (Hare Krishna) | 197 Danks Street, Albert Park | Host Bhakta Dasa
• Vegetarian Lunch provided by host: Melbourne Mahaprabhu Mandir (Hare Krishna Temple); donation towards lunch is appreciated
• Church of Our Lady's Dormition (Russian Orthodox) | 1-3 Morwell Avenue, Dandenong | Host: Very Rev Fr Michael Protopopov OAM
• Return to Interfaith Network Office, Dandenong
• Baha'i Faith Presentation and Refreshments | Training Room, Level 1, 39 Clow Street, Dandenong | Host: Mrs Agnes Kean

Respectful Practices:

• Modest clothing worn in all Places of Worship would be appreciated.
• All are requested to remove their shoes before entering the Sikh Gurdwara, Hindu and Buddhist Temples and Mosque.
• In the Hindu Temple, all head coverings should be removed except those worn as religious practice.
• Women entering the Mosque are asked to cover their heads and wear clothing which covers arms to wrists and legs to ankles, men are asked to cover their heads in the Jewish Synagogue and all are asked to cover their heads in Gurdwara. [Head covering provided in the Synagogue & Gurdwara]
• Visitors should have no tobacco on their person when entering the Gurdwara
