The Anti-Defamation Commission’s (ADC) Multifaith Future Leaders Seminar is now in its 9th year. Each year around 30 young, like-minded individuals come together from various faith communities to attend this amazing free program, resulting in an establishment of an on-going Multifaith network.

The ADC has a successful track record in engaging members of all faith community groups in Victoria including Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, Baha'i, Sikh, Buddhist, Aboriginal and Atheist. Each year the ADC engages with a new group of young adults in a free seminar, ensuring continued interfaith engagement for young adults. This program identifies future leaders who are nurtured and given guidance and assistance as they move into more influential positions and maintain their commitment to multiculturalism.

Over the past nine years strong friendships have been cultivated and continue to strengthen and grow, ensuring Multicultural conversations continue between their faith community groups.

Sabha – Baha’i: "Through the hard work of the ADC and the open minds and hearts of the participants, a truly extraordinary environment was fostered; one in which all views and opinions were respected, all people were made to feel welcome, and a genuine search for truth was sparked."

Leila - Indigenous: "Going to the Multi-Faith Future Leaders Seminar was a great experience and learning from other vibrant, enthusiastic, young people that I now consider my friends.  Having so many people from different faiths and backgrounds sharing their stories is an experience I'll never forget.  Being around such a multi-cultural, multi-faith group was an absolute privilege and I hope to do more with all the young people I've met during the year."

Andrew - Jewish: "From my experience as a Jewish Student the mere diversity at Monash University, like that in wider Australia, without real encounter yields increasing tensions in society. Over the course of this seminar we were able to develop great friendships and have already began organising events to spread the message.  Stay Tuned!"

This year’s Multifaith Future Leaders Seminar will take place on Monday 5th June 2017 - an all day program which includes lunch and dinner.
