On Saturday 27 June 2015, the Brimbank Maribyrnong Interfaith Network together with the Australia Light Foundation hosted a special Ramadan Iftar Dinner session open to all members of the community.

The Iftar dinner was really well attended, bringing together more than 400 people from various ethnic and faith backgrounds.

The session began with the official call to prayers followed by the breaking of the fast and a special prayer of thanks.

There were representatives from local churches, temples and mosques across Melbourne, enjoying and celebrating Ramadan.

The event provided an opportunity for discussions between various faith and ethnic community groups and allowed participants to engage and broaden their networks.

The Australia Light Foundation and Brimbank Maribyrnong Interfaith Network would like to thank all members of the community who attended this important event.
