On Sunday 14 June 2015, as part of Refugee Week, 45 citizens from Melbourne’s western suburbs joined the Brimbank Maribyrnong Interfaith Network on a tour to Places of Worship.
The tour included three Places of Worship:
left: The Quang Minh Buddhist Temple in Braybrook; right: Gurdwara Sahib Sikh Temple in Hoppers Crossing
bottom: Sri Durga Hindu Temple in Rockbank
Participants embraced the opportunity to listen to faith leaders et each place of worship and witness how the Buddhist, Hindu and Sikh communities worship on Sunday.
The Brimbank Maribyrnong Interfaith Network organises Tours to Places of Worship four times a year in addition to sponsoring special events such as the upcoming Iftar Dinner on the 27th June 2015 at the Australia Light Foundation Mosque in Tottenham.
