On Friday 17 April 2015, the Kingston Interfaith Advisory Committee hosted an Interfaith Bus Tour. The bus tour began at 9:30am and finished at 4:30pm, visiting four places of worship: a Turkish Mosque, a Sikh Temple, a Buddhist temple, and an Anglican Church.
In particular, the following places of worship were visited:
Turkish Mosque Cami in Keysborough
Sikh Temple Gurdwara Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in Keysborough
Tara Institute - Centre for Buddhist Studies, Brighton
St Augustine’s Anglican Church, Mentone
At each place of worship a faith leader gave a tour and presentation, followed by a question and answer session.
The Kingston Interfaith Network aims to build connections and conversation between different faith groups in the community, encouraging understanding and respect between peoples of all faiths and cultures. This is achieved through a number of events and activities.
Members and guests at the Kingston Interfaith Network enjoyed the tour to places of worship
