On Sunday 15 March 2015, Dilnaz Billimoria of the Whitehorse Interfaith Network (WIN) was invited by the City of Whitehorse to be the Master of Ceremonies at the Global Fiesta. The Global Fiesta is a national Harmony Day event and a celebration of the wonderful, culturally diverse community in the City of Whitehorse.

global-fiestaDilnaz was the multicultural ambassador and compered the harmony stage throughout the day welcoming performers from different faiths and cultures. The Whitehorse Interfaith Network (WIN) participated in the Global Fiesta 2015 with a marquee which organised children to draw and colour their perceptions of happiness on a cloth piece. It could be faith, god, family, nature or whatever happiness meant to them.

WIN then attached the cloth pieces to make banners that were displayed in their marquee, making the children and their families happy.

The Global Fiesta included a mouth-watering cultural cuisine, a Koorie Night Market, music from across the globe, cultural games, an animal farm, community stalls and rides. The festivities commenced with a Smoking Ceremony performed by members of the Wurundjeri Tribe.
