A record of 330 attendees sacrificing the comfort of seating to celebrate ZCK’s 23rd Anniversary Celebration with us and be part of the Forces for Good in Victoria!

We were honoured to welcome faith and community leaders from the Buddhist, Baha’i, Christian, Hindu, Islamic, Sikh, and Zoroastrian traditions, and representatives from Interfaith Networks of Casey, Whitehorse, Kingston, Knox, Dandenong, Manningham, and Monash.

We all raised and proudly sang the Australian Anthem together!

It was a celebration where multiculturalism and interfaith harmony came alive, affirming ZCK’s evolving role as a Centre for Interfaith & Interracial Understanding, and a vibrant Chinese Cultural Centre.

We had the elderly citizens performing Tai Chi and children singing songs in tribute to their Mothers, with a special guest singing “You Raise Me Up.” All 150 mothers were presented with a stalk of flowers expressing our love and gratitude to all Mothers. It was a memorable Mother's Day celebration for those who opted to celebrate the special day with ZCK!

The celebration was honoured to receive heartfelt speeches from:

  • Lee Tarlamis MP, representing our local government, with warm support
  • Consul Yani Wang, from the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China, sharing words of cultural pride and friendship
  • Dr Mohamed Mohideen, from the Victorian Multicultural Commission, affirming our role in strengthening social cohesion
  • Arthur Wu, of the Chinese Masonic Society, representing longstanding community solidarity
  • Hayat Doughan, from the Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria, celebrating unity in diversity

In the spirit of DEJIAO’s virtue of Charity & Welfare, we proudly donated to the Monash Health Foundation to support those in need — a small act of kindness with a big heart.

We were deeply honoured to receive a Certificate of Appreciation for 23 years of community service from our dedicated local MP, Meng Heang Tak, presented by MP Lee Tarlamis.

This Certificate is for all of ZCK’s dedicated volunteers who made this night a success and served with a smile! Your kindness and hard work are the reason ZCK shines.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing Chinese community media friends and passionate reporters for their unprecedented support and coverage — validating ZCK’s role as a home for Chinese culture and moral education.

Thank you to everyone who made this celebration possible. Together, we are building a community where love, service, and understanding blossom.
