This blood drive aims to secure donors from faith-based groups who are committed to uniting for a common cause, and that is, to save lives.

Groups will be able to start a Lifeblood Team, which provides an opportunity to count donations made, but more importantly, a group can track how many lives are saved, as 1 blood donation equates to 3 lives saved.

Blood donations will be used for patients facing cancer, surgery, anaemia and complications during childbirth, whilst plasma, the yellow part of your blood, will be used for 18 life saving treatments. Examples include treatments for burns, shock, kidney and liver disease and auto immune disorders.

Promotional resources are available for groups wishing to promote the blood drive to members, and groups will be able to arrange group bookings at donor centres across Victoria.
