Speaker: Mark Walsh

About the speaker: Mark David Walsh is a facilitator of biblical studies, faith formation and adult education. He is an associate of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Sion, and is a Melbournian currently living in Jerusalem where he is working at their Centre for Biblical Formation and has just been appointed as a program coordinator for their English language programs. A keen walker and photographer, he is completing post-graduate studies in theology. Since 2014 he has been navigating the conflicting spaces of Jerusalem, living as a lay person in a monastery, a foreign member of the Christian religious minority, studying in Jewish and Christian institutions and walking the land that many call Holy and to whom even more have a deep and lasting connection. Navigating the texts, narratives histories, and places at the centre of this experience is not always an easy task.
