Interfaith Ceremony for Peace and Understanding | Buddha Day

Presented by Fo Guang Shan Melbourne and The Interfaith Centre of Melbourne, spiritual leaders and representatives from various faiths, will offer prayers and readings from sacred texts for peace and understanding amongst all beings in the world.  Together, side by side, in unity, participants alongside religious leaders and representatives will make a peace offering towards understanding between the people of the world’s religions, faiths and spiritualties.

The ceremony is held as part of the free annual Buddha’s Day and Multicultural Festival @ Federation Square.

The festival is organised by FGS Monastic Order and Buddha’s Light International Association of Victoria (BLIAV), a not-for-profit organisation, which engages in activities that are beneficial to society at large.  The association places emphasis on education, culture, cultivation and service.
