Islam has an extensive tradition of protecting the civil liberties of women based on the guidelines set forth by God and His Prophet. Women are empowered with many rights and protections under Islamic Law and are honoured with a dignified stuture in society.
Lajna Imaillah, the women's auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association of Victoria, is organizing an interfaith lunch to bring women of all faiths including parliamentarian and the civcs together to engage in a meaningful dialogue and infuse mutual understanding between their beliefs.
