The Darebin Interfaith Council (DIFC) would like to invite you to:
Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations
Date: Saturday 19 September 2015 Time: 11:00am-4:30pm
Locations:
Venue 1: Darebin Arts and Entertainment Centre (DAEC), Cnr Bell Street & St Georges Road (11:00am to 2:00pm) - Religious rituals, dance, and children’s activities followed by a procession on foot and chartered tram to Bundoora Park.
Venue 2: Bundoora Park, 1069, Plenty Road, Bundoora (3:30pm to 4:30pm) - Tram procession arrives at the park, followed by ceremonial immersion.
Darebin Council is proud to partner with the Hindu community in hosting the Ganesh Chaturthi which is now in its 11th year and it has become a much-loved event for the Hindu community and many other people interested in the Hindu culture. Council offers an open invitation to everyone wishing to join in this holy occasion on the Hindu calendar.
