Islam sells, we get it. But over the past two years there has been an acceleration of reporting Muslim issues and international events have added to this apparent emphasis on Islam in the West.  But we have neglected one aspect of this and that is directly engaging with media professionals to get a better understanding of where they are coming from and for them to understand how the community feels.  This is our unique opportunity to have a dialogue with the media.
