Interfaith Memorial Service

Location: St Mary’s Church, Corner Rossmoyne & High Streets, Thornbury
The Interfaith Memorial Service aims to express our solidarity and compassion for asylum seekers who have drowned on the perilous journey cross the Mediterranean Sea towards Europe in overloaded boats; and with all those children, women and men who are forced to flee their homes from acts of war, terrorist violence and genocidal acts. The drowning of hundreds of refugees in recent weeks along the island coastlines of Greece and Italy has been heartbreaking, more so for many within Darebin’s multicultural communities.
Participants encouraged to bring passages from sacred scripture to share. Please join us!
