About the Speaker: Dr. Dvir Abramovich is an author, academic and a much sought-after commentator on Israel and the Jewish world. He is Director of the Program in Jewish Culture & Society at The University of Melbourne and holds the Israel Kipen Lectureship in Hebrew and Jewish Studies. He also serves as Chairman of the B’nai B’rith Anti-Defamation Commission. A former President of the Australian Association of Jewish Studies, Dvir Abramovich has edited and published four books and his numerous opinion pieces have been featured in local and international newspapers. He has appeared as a guest expert on many shows, including ABC News, SBS World News, Bloomberg TV’s Asia Edge, Radio National’s The Spirit of Things, Saturday Extra with Geraldine Doogue and Sundays’ With Alan Brough and Australia All Over. Dr Abramovich will bedoing a book-signing.
