On Chinese New Year day, Buddhists visit temples and monasteries, bathe Buddha statues, offer prayers and worship to Lord Buddha, and call for getting conferred with happy and peaceful times ahead. People take a look at their past lives, and try to rectify their mistakes. They wear new clothes, clean and decorate their households, visit friends and families, share gifts and prepare special sweet dishes.
