Interfaith Breakfast 2015 celebrating the United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week.
Guest Speaker: Rev Scott Holmes speaking on “Intersections between Faith and Violence”

About guest speaker: Rev Scott Holmes is an ordained Anglican priest in the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne. Scott currently works at YMCA Victoria where he coordinates the Y Respect Gender Project. This health promotion project is designed to contribute to the prevention of violence against women by addressing the social attitudes and norms that are implicated in this violence. Prior to this Scott worked at Darebin City Council where he coordinated a similar project amongst faith communities in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. Scott has developed a number of resources and reports, including co-authoring a White Ribbon Research Paper on Gender in the Workplace. Scott will bring both his ministry experience and health promotion experience in offering some questions and reflections on the intersections between faith and violence.
