Rewriting History - When heroes are killers, truth becomes the enemy.

This thought provoking film describes the campaign to stop the rewriting of history in Eastern Europe particularly in Lithuania, where rather than confronting their own dark stains in their role in the Holocaust, governments are rewriting history to equate communism with the horrors of the Nazis.
This Double Genocide was adopted as the Prague Declaration in 2008.
This Ultra-Nationalism has seen the growth of antisemitism where the Jewish partisans are investigated for war crimes and the perpetrators are the heroes.
Danny Ben Moshe who is co-producer and co-director of Rewriting History, is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Citizenship and Globalization at Deakin University in Melbourne. Co-editor of Israel, the Diaspora and Identity, he has prolifically published on Holocaust Denial.
A discussion will follow the showing of the film.
