The Buddhist Council of Victoria is excited to announce a launch event for the project ‘Faith community supporting healthy family relationships’. The project aims to support and educate faith community leaders to prevent and respond to family violence. The Buddhist Council of Victoria was chosen to deliver this project by the Victorian Government’s Multicultural Affairs and Social Cohesion Division (MASC). The project is currently being piloted in selected Buddhist temples in Victoria.

The event is to launch resources and training that have been developed for the project and raise awareness of the project across the Buddhist community in Victoria. 

Guest speakers include:

• Minister for Prevention of Family violence, Gabrielle Williams
• Chairperson of the Victorian Multicultural Commission, Vivienne Nguyen
• President of BCV and Abbot of Quang Minh Temple, Venerable Thich Phuoc Tan
• Abbess of Seon Centre, Venerable Chi Kwang Sunim
