Hume Interfaith Network invites you to:

Talking Faith | UN Internationl Day of Peace

Date: Thursday 19 September 2019     Time: 6pm to 8pm
Location: Sunbury Memorial Hall, Stawell Street, Sunbury, VIC 3429

Organised to coincide with the UN International Day of Peace, “Talking Faith” is an event inspired by the Moroccan Soup Bar’s founder Hanna Assafiri’s “Speed Date a Muslim” series in 2016. Assafiri adopted the ‘speed dating’ format to provide a safe and respectful space for local non-Muslims to meet and ask Muslims all the curly questions they were otherwise too shy to.

“Talking Faith” says you CAN ask that - to explore, challenge or better understand your racial and religious perceptions with a follower of a different faith – Christian, Quaker, Hindu, Buddhist, Sikh or Muslim

“Talking Faith” is not a romantic or social event. It's a meetup with a difference, designed to provide a safe space for people from different faiths or no faith, to ask questions and provide an opportunity for learning and understanding.

Cost: Free | Children welcome if accompanied by an adult. Children's activities provided
