The City of Darebin invites you to:

Interfaith Response to Climate Emergency Conference

Dates: Wednesday 12 September 2018      Time: 10:15am
Location: Northcote Town Hall, 189 High Street, Northcote

In 2017 Darebin City Council adopted its Climate Emergency Plan, which recognises we are in a state of climate emergency requiring urgent action by all levels of government, including local councils.

We are pleased to invite the interfaith community - along with others who may be interested - to Darebin Council’s Climate Emergency Conference and to participate in as much of the proceedings as possible. This gathering brings together people and organisations with shared concerns for our environment to demonstrate leadership in climate emergency action. The aim of this conference is to identify strategic action and opportunities for collaboration in addressing the climate emergency.

Darebin’s own Rev. Alex Sangster from Fairfield Uniting Church, and Tejopala Rawls, Community Organiser from Australian Religious Response to Climate Change (ARRCC) will speak on “Radical Action at the Heart of Faith: work within Faith Communities to fight climate apathy”.
