After some yea rs in the church\, she studied law and worked at the Footscray Community L egal Centre\, Legal Aid and Broadmeadows Community Legal Centre.She came t o national prominence in November 2018\, when she was deported from the Ph ilippines for her role in documenting human rights violations\, after havi ng come to the attention of President Duterte\,Sister Fox first went to th e Philippines in 1990. During her time in the country\, she was active in the Diocesan Justice and Peace Group\, as well as serving as both the Cent ral Luzon co-ordinator and National co-ordinator of the Rural Missionaries of the Philippines.
