 Council of Christians and Jews Victoria. It promotes the aims of the Counc
 il which are to educate Christians and Jews to appreciate each other’s dis
 tinctive beliefs and practices and their common ground\;&nbsp\; to promote
  the study of and research into the historical\, political\, economic\, so
 cial\, religious and racial causes of conflicts between people of differen
 t creeds and colour\; and to promote\, for the benefit of the community\, 
 education in those fundamental ethical teachings common to Christianity an
 d Judaism which relate to respect and understanding between people of diff
 erent creeds.\nSpeaker: Mark Leibler is one of Australia’s leading lawyers
  advising many governments on tax issues\, Mark and his law firm Arnold Bl
 och Leibler have championed indigenous rights\, providing pro bono service
 s on many occasions and on many issues.&nbsp\; He has served on the Board 
 of Reconciliation and co-chairs the Expert Panel on Constitutional Recogni
 tion of Indigenous Australians.&nbsp\; Mark was named one of the 50 most i
 nfluential Jews in the World.&nbsp\; He has served as head of the United I
 srael Appeal\, Zionist Federation of Australia whilst serving on and headi
 ng numerous international Jewish organisations.&nbsp\; Mark was awarded th
