  JCMA AGM will be held with a keynote presentation with Sherene Hassan fro
 m the Islamic Museum of Australia and Jenny Better from the Jewish Museum 
 of Australia.\nThe ‘Museums Together’ program brought Jewish and Islamic s
 chools together enabling students to develop a deeper understanding of the
 ir own history\, faith and culture and empowered students to connect and s
 hare their experiences and stories with each other. For many students this
  was the first time they had the opportunity to meet a Jewish or a Muslim 
 person. Sherene Hassan and Jenny Better will share their experiences and l
 essons learned from this unique and special collaborative interfaith proje
 ct.\nMore about speakers:\n\nJenny Better – Senior Education Coordinator\,
  Jewish Museum of Australia Jenny Better is the Senior education Coordinat
 or at the Jewish Museum of Australia where she manages the Schools educati
 on program including the educational method and content and the large team
  of volunteers that deliver the programs to students of all different fait
 h backgrounds. It is in this role that she has organised and coordinated m
 any harmony days programs and it was because of this work in 2009 that she
  was awarded a Victorian Multicultural Award for educational excellence. M
 ore recently Jenny has managed a program called ‘Museums Together’ where t
 he Islamic Museum of Australia and the Jewish Museum of Australia collabor
 ated to upskill the year 6 students from an Islamic school and a Jewish Sc
 hool enabling the students to take their cohort from a different faith gro
 up around their Museums Jenny was born in the UK and emigrated to Australi
 a in the 1960s when she was a child. Her adult work life has been dedicate
 d to teaching including her role as a teacher at Our Lady of Mercy College
 . Jenny is married to Nathan Better and they are the proud parents of 4 ad
 ult children.\nSherene Hassan - Director of Education &amp\; Community Eng
 agement\, Islamic Museum of Australia.Sherene Hassan is the Director of Ed
 ucation and Community Engagement at the Islamic Museum of Australia. To da
 te Sherene has conducted over 1000 information sessions on Islam to divers
 e audiences ranging from the Flying Fruit Fly Circus School to the Austral
 ian Federal Police.She served as vice president\, and executive committee 
 member of the Islamic Council of Victoria for eight years and has been inv
 olved in interfaith dialogue since 2001 and is passionate about building b
 ridges with the wider community.In January 2018 Sherene was awarded a Meda
 l of the Order of Australia (OAM). Formerly a chemistry and physics teache
