 bout the speaker: Dr Nick Dyrenfurth is Executive Director of the John Cur
 tin Research Centre. He has worked as an academic and written or edited se
 ven books\, including A Little History of the Australian Labor Party (with
  Frank Bongiorno)\, Mateship: A Very Australian History and Boycotting Isr
 ael is Wrong: the Progressive Path to Peace between Israel and the Palesti
 nians (with Philip Mendes). Nick has worked as a Labor Party advisor and s
 peechwriter as well as having acted as a commentator for newspapers and on
  television and radio. Nick is an Adjunct Research Fellow in Historical St
 udies at Monash University\, where he attained a PhD in Australian history
