 d on his story\, 'Ali's Wedding'.\nOsamah Sami is an Australian actor\, wr
 iter\, and comedian\, born in war-torn Iran to Iraqi parents. His critical
 ly acclaimed memoir Good Muslim Boy was the Winner of the NSW Premier’s Li
 terary Award and Highly Commended at the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awar
 ds\, and has been adapted for the stage (sell-out seasons at Malthouse and
  Queensland Theatre Companies).\nOsamah also co-wrote and starred in the h
 it Aussie rom-com Ali’s Wedding\, which was the Winner of the Audience Awa
 rd for Best Feature Film at Sydney Film Festival\, and The Age Critics Pri
 ze for Best Australian Film. His screenplay earned him an Australian Acade
 my (AACTA) Award\, an Australian Writers Guild Award\, an Australian Film 
 Critics Association Award\, and a Film Critics Circle of Australia Award f
 or Best Screenplay. He also received AACTA Award\, FCCA Award and AFCA Awa
 rd nominations for Best Lead Actor.\nOsamah is also recognized as a “notab
