 is event is in recognition of the tragic shooting in Orlando and will brin
 g together Darebin’s lesbian\, gay\, bisexual\, transgender and Intersex (
 LGBTI) and Muslim communities and their allies in grief and solidarity.\nD
 arebin Council recognises this tragic event as an attack on the fundamenta
 l values of equality and dignity\, and acknowledges that its reverberation
 s are being felt across the Darebin community. Our sense of safety\, conne
 ctedness and wellbeing can be diminished at these times.&nbsp\; This event
  is one way to affirm and extend positive relationships between people and
  across communities.&nbsp\;\nProgram:\n\n4.45pm onwards: Gather at the Pea
 ce Poles outside the Intercultural Centre for quiet contemplation &amp\; r
 eflection.\n5pm: Enter Intercultural Centre foyer.&nbsp\; Hang your wishes
  for peace and unity on the Peace Tree.&nbsp\;\n5.12pm: Snacks are served\
 , connections facilitated\, conversations shared.\n5.40pm: Brief speeches 
 from the Darebin Mayor &amp\; community representatives.\n5.50pm: Snacks a
 nd conversation continue.\n6.30pm: Event close.\n\nEveryone is welcome. A 
 special invitation is extended to members of LGBTIQ and Muslim communities
  who live\, work\, study in or have a connection to the City of Darebin.&n
