This will be the biggest-ever global faith- based Day of Action for the Climate\, The theme of of the day is Sacred Pe ople\, Sacred Earth.\nWhat's happening on March 11?1. Global multi-faith s tatement on the climate On March 11\, the GreenFaith International (GFI) N etwork will publicise a multi faith statement calling for a recovery from COVID which will help create a more just world order while tackling the cl imate crisis. This will be signed by high-profile leaders of a wide range of faiths as well as regular people of faith and we'd love you to sign thi s and ask others to do the same. By March 11 we aim to have the signatures of tens of thousands of religious leaders and individual people of faith and spirit.\nGFI will then call for a “Year of Action” in the lead-up to t he next round of crucial international climate negotiations (known as COP2 6) which will be held in Glasgow in November 2021. Places of worship worldwide call for climate justiceIn suppor t of the statement and to draw attention to it\, faith communities around the world are being asked to ‘sound the alarm’ for the climate and call fo r climate justice as we try to get our economies going in the wake of COVI D.\nEach place of worship\, faith-based small group or household will choo se its own way to do this: by ringing its bells\, by sounding a note on th e shofar\, calling the Azan\, by chanting and by meditating. We each have our own tr aditions\, but we will be united in one clear message.\nEvery place of wor ship on Earth or small faith-based group is invited to join in.
