Honouring the 81st anniversary of the Kristallnacht protest by Indigenous rights leader, William Cooper.

Program includes

  • an introduction to the story that inspired the Cantata,
  • a performance by the Indigenous choir, Yeng Gali Mullum, and
  • an additional orchestral piece by Cantata composer, Alon Trigger:
  • Cantillations, inspired by traditional Torah melodies.

The World Premiere of The Kristallnacht Cantata - A Voice of Courage, will be performed by a 29-piece orchestra, 10-voice choir, featuring Jewish tenor Asher Reichman (playing Otto Jontof-Hutter), Aboriginal opera singer, Don Bemrose (playing William Cooper) and John Wayne Parsons (speaking the dialogue of William Cooper).
